Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize automated measurement systems from ideation to deployment.
- Create detailed mechanical designs for measurement and calibration systems, including CAD modeling and mechanism design.
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance measurement systems and manufacturing processes.
- Manage vendor prototyping schedules and manufacturing plans.
- Support failure analysis and continuous improvements in product manufacturability and performance.
- Assist in developing new vendors to expand Apple's capabilities.
- Apply engineering principles in materials science, structural and thermal analysis, and automation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling systems and GD&T principles.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.
- Preferred experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing and project management.
- Familiarity with UG NX and FEA tools like ANSYS is a plus.
