Responsibilities
- Design camera module structures and packaging in CAD.
- Design injection molded, sheet metal, PCB, and other component parts.
- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings.
- Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts.
- Work with manufacturing partners on design manufacturability and resolution of mechanical issues.
- Author clear documentation on mechanical inspection and test requirements.
- Direct FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Imaging Science, or related field.
- Relevant technical experience with mechanical or product design using 3D CAD software.
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in mechanical design using CAD 3D molding and drafting package.
- Basic structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) skills.
- Excellent understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis of complex mechanical designs.
- Experience with actuator design and manufacturing processes for mass production.
