Responsibilities
- Identify and scope engineering workflow bottlenecks within Module Design or Plant Design.
- Design, prototype, test, and iterate on an AI-enabled tool or automated workflow.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions fit engineering constraints.
- Build user-friendly solutions for engineers, integrating with existing systems.
- Create thorough documentation and a handoff package for the developed solutions.
- Drive team adoption through walkthroughs and feedback collection.
- Contribute to team discussions with curiosity and a willingness to learn in a hardware environment.
Job Requirements
- Strong writing and communication skills across various formats.
- Organizational skills and systems thinking ability.
- Experience with AI-assisted workflows or tools in engineering projects.
- Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to debugging.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Ability to document workflows for maintenance and extension by other engineers.
