Responsibilities
- Own and drive mechanical design and development of propulsion components and assemblies.
- Lead technical efforts to define requirements and propose solutions for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure a reliable and cost-effective system.
- Conduct design reviews and implement hardware test plans.
- Enhance team tools, templates, processes, and standards.
- Optimize engine subsystems for performance, mass, manufacturability, and cost.
- Support hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years in a technical engineering role or equivalent experience.
- Proven CAD skills for producing high-quality engineering models and drawings.
- Strong understanding of machine design, mechanisms, fluids, thermal, and structures.
- Hands-on prototyping and fabrication skills with shop tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- US Person status required for access to export-controlled data.
