Responsibilities
- Review and document customer requirements, designing products for manufacturing ease and reliability.
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing/qualification for compliance with performance standards.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to address cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Stay updated on technological trends in interconnect solutions.
- Approve engineering drawings, parts lists, and test sheets.
- Process engineering change notices (ECNs) efficiently.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to maintain satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in connector and/or cable assembly design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (e.g., Creo) and Product Data Management systems (e.g., Windchill) preferred.
- Experience using DFMEA for risk evaluation in mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to work in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks.
