Responsibilities
- Review and document customer requirements for product design.
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing/qualification.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing for cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Stay updated with technological trends in interconnect solutions.
- Approve engineering drawings and parts lists.
- Process engineering change notices (ECNs) efficiently.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in connector and/or cable assembly design.
- Strong analytical and design skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (e.g., Creo) and Product Data Management systems.
- Experience using DFMEA for risk evaluation in designs.
- Ability to work in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks.
