Responsibilities
- Creates product design requirements and specifications in a team setting.
- Designs new products to meet design specifications.
- Creates engineering documents including drawings, bills of material, and engineering change notices.
- Assists in all engineering functions leading to product release such as prototype testing and manufacturing issues.
- Uses lab tools and environmental chambers to analyze and debug systems.
- Creates prototype hardware to test concepts.
- Coordinates with outside test labs and agencies for required testing and certifications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in progressive engineering assignments.
- Proven design capabilities and knowledge of mechanical design involving strength of materials and stress analysis.
- Experience with 2D and 3D drafting and design.
