Responsibilities
- Design thermal solutions for AMD's next generation of Datacenter GPUs.
- Collaborate with silicon design, board engineering, and power engineering teams.
- Contribute to the product cycle from conceptualization to mass production.
- Conduct thermal validation of hardware at chip, card, and system levels.
- Investigate novel thermal technologies and evaluate them for alignment with AMD's roadmap.
- Drive process improvements to ensure fast time-to-market on products.
- Utilize CFD and CAD tools for thermal management design.
Job Requirements
- Strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
- Experience developing liquid cooling solutions and validating them.
- Proficiency in CFD tools like Icepak and CAD tools like SolidWorks or Creo.
- Understanding of thermal management design elements (e.g., TIM, heat sinks).
- Experience with data analysis and programming (Python, C/C++, MATLAB).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across organizations.
- MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, recent grads with internship experience welcome.
