Director/Lead - Datacenter Field Applications Engineering

The role involves leading technical engagement with a strategic Mega Datacenter customer, managing a team of Field Applications Engineers (FAEs), and collaborating with sales to communicate AMD's competitive advantages in cloud workloads.

• Manage a growing team of FAEs supporting AWS.
• Articulate benefits of AMD technology offerings for cloud service providers.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance to systems engineers and application developers.
• Lead technical design sessions and architect solutions aligned with customer objectives.
• Install and test solutions in-house to ensure successful deployments.
• Drive customer feedback into AMD sales and engineering teams.
• Perform technical presentations and training for customers and partners.

• Experience managing a customer-facing engineering support team.
• Proven track record in CPU and server system architecture.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Hands-on experience with server systems, including software and networking.
• Knowledge in cloud computing, benchmarking, and performance optimization tools.
