Responsibilities
- Support architectural trades with thermal analysis for spacecraft and subsystems.
- Conduct detailed analysis of Bus and Payload subsystems and components.
- Develop automated scripts for rapid analysis updates.
- Design and select heat pipes for bus and payload components.
- Define and execute test setups for thermal testing and correlate results.
- Document design evolution and prepare materials for design reviews.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines for optimal design solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience with thermal analysis software and scripting.
- 1+ year experience in test planning and system verification.
- Experience with thermal control hardware and materials.
- Proficiency in thermal simulation software and programming languages.
- Advanced degree preferred (Master’s or PhD) in relevant field.
- CAD skills and experience with spacecraft thermal design preferred.
