Responsibilities
- Lead the development of mechanical designs for ground support equipment using Siemens NX.
- Conduct design reviews and build/qualify tooling and fixturing.
- Collaborate with spacecraft design and integration teams across multiple locations.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and provide insights for design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, and materials.
- Use GD&T and tolerance analysis in design processes.
- Manage tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with NX and TeamCenter.
- Experience in prototyping and implementation of mechanical products.
- Knowledge of Ansys Finite Element analysis tool is preferred.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to lead discussions between hardware, reliability, and firmware teams.
