Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes through collaboration with manufacturing engineers and other functions.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to the development team for an OISL Sub-assembly.
- Support operations by solving technical issues in high-pressure situations.
- Spend 40% of time on the shop floor working with production teams.
- Perform independent development work to identify and implement production improvements.
- Collaborate in meetings on new design introductions and production process changes.
- Drive manufacturing processes from production introduction to full-rate production.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools (preferred).
- Experience designing small form factor devices (preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in production development testing and quality control measures.
- Familiarity with production process change management and capacity increase strategies.
