Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes through team collaboration.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to the development team, participating in design reviews and technical escalations.
- Support operations by resolving technical issues during production.
- Own the roadmap for increasing production capacity and lead the design and qualification of new equipment.
- Work on the shop floor with production teams to implement new processes and solve key technical blockers.
- Conduct independent development work to identify and implement production improvements.
- Mentor and coach other engineers on the team to develop their skills and ensure alignment with technical vision.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Experience with opto-mechanical systems, optical bonding, and mechatronic systems.
- Familiarity with low-rate manufacturing environments and new product introduction.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and root cause analysis techniques.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams on product design.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP software and CAD software like NX Unigraphics.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and writing skills.
