Manufacturing Engineer, Amazon Leo

The Manufacturing Engineer at Amazon Leo will lead production development for a key module on a next-generation spacecraft, focusing on process development and improvement to ensure high-quality manufacturing.

• Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes.
• Serve as primary technical interface to the development team.
• Support operations by solving technical problems during production.
• Own the capacity increase roadmap for production.
• Collaborate with the team on design introductions and production change management.
• Mentor and coach other engineers on the team.
• Conduct independent development work to implement production improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, or physics.
• 2+ years of hardware design and validation experience.
• Familiarity with low-rate manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques.
• Preferred knowledge of the software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Strong collaborative and mentorship skills.
