Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes through collaboration with a team of manufacturing engineers.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to the development team, participating in design reviews and technical escalations.
- Support the operations team by solving technical problems during production.
- Own the capacity increase roadmap for production, including defining and leading the design of new equipment.
- Work on the shop floor to implement new processes and solve technical blockers.
- Conduct independent development work to identify and implement production improvements.
- Mentor other engineers on the team and ensure alignment with technical vision.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Experience with opto-mechanical systems and mechatronic systems.
- Familiarity with low-rate manufacturing environments and new product introduction.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and root cause analysis techniques.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in product design.
- Skills in project management and experience with ERP software like SAP.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
