Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes through collaboration with manufacturing engineers.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to the development team and participate in design reviews.
- Support operations by solving technical issues during production.
- Own the roadmap for increasing production capacity, including defining capital equipment needs.
- Work on the shop floor with production teams to implement new processes.
- Conduct independent development work to identify and implement production improvements.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and ensure execution of technical vision.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of hardware design and validation experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams on product design from concept to production.
- Familiarity with Low-Rate Manufacturing Environments and New Product Introduction.
- Preferred experience in project management of technical projects and knowledge of hardware development life cycle practices.
