Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap, execution, and outcomes for the embedded software team.
- Lead and grow the embedded software team, emphasizing career development and mentorship.
- Define and own the embedded technical strategy in collaboration with program owners and scientists.
- Drive architecture and design for high-ambiguity problems in partnership with senior engineers.
- Build, optimize, and operate embedded systems at scale within Amazon.
- Work closely with teams to implement modern control algorithms.
- Manage complex programs and scale both software and teams effectively.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience in relevant domains.
- 3+ years of experience with operating systems deployed at scale.
- Previous hands-on experience as an embedded software engineer.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
- Preferred: Master's degree in a related field and deep experience with real-time embedded systems.
