Responsibilities
- Support design and development of mechanical systems under MIL-STD-810 specifications.
- Run mechanical simulations including FEA, modal, vibration, and thermal analysis.
- Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers for electromechanical integration.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Develop and document mechanical design specifications and test protocols.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews and identify risks early in development.
- Apply DFM and DFR principles to improve design quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Understanding of MIL-STD-810 requirements for mechanical durability.
- Interest in electromechanical integration.
- Passion for designing robust mechanical systems for harsh environments.
- Exposure to MIL-STD-810 testing through coursework or internships is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping or additive manufacturing is beneficial.
