Responsibilities
- Manage the safe operation of power systems at the Technical Center.
- Create proposals for new power distribution equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing electrical systems.
- Perform power system load flow analysis using simulation software.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors during troubleshooting and project execution.
- Evaluate equipment performance for electrical and reliability improvements.
- Lead high voltage audits to ensure compliance with Alcoa policies.
Job Requirements
- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university.
- 2+ years of experience with electrical power distribution equipment.
- Familiarity with ETAP or similar Power Distribution Analysis Software.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially under time pressure.
- Ability to work safely around electrical equipment.
- Competency with Microsoft business applications.
