Responsibilities
- Assist with software development and scripting of NASA’s trajectory optimization tools.
- Develop new features and algorithms for NASA's requirements.
- Perform program maintenance and improvements to software architecture.
- Support integration with other trajectory software and tools.
- Ensure design solutions meet NASA requirements and support design reviews.
- Provide trajectory products for spacecraft mission design and analysis.
- Support development and testing of new algorithms for vehicle and mission performance.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Engineering with relevant experience in spacecraft trajectory analysis.
- Expertise in orbital mechanics and spacecraft mission design.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Fortran, Python, and C++.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship and successful completion of a government background investigation.
- Desired qualifications include experience with lunar lander trajectory design and familiarity with NASA processes.
