Joby Aviation is seeking an intern to assist in designing, building, and testing an advanced electric powertrain for their air transportation system.
Responsibilities
- Design components, systems, and test/assembly equipment
- Perform analysis to support design decisions
- Plan and execute tests
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for hardware builds
Job Requirements
- Pursuing B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related field
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Hands-on design, prototyping, and testing experience
- Proficiency in CAD and sketching
- Passion for elegant design and engineering
- Experience with Dassault Systems CAD, finite element tools, and electric powertrains desired
