Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer I/II

Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, focusing on building rockets and satellites for various missions. They are seeking a Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer I/II to develop satellite deployment systems and configurations.

• Support Business Development with proposals and mission concepts
• Develop high-performance satellite systems and mechanisms
• Define modern satellite system mechanisms
• Lead key component design reviews
• Create and maintain product definition through CAD
• Manage development schedules and project deliverables

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Mechanical engineering experience
• Experience with CAD modeling and drawing
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience for Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer II role
• Master’s or PhD in aerospace/mechanical engineering preferred
• Hands-on development and testing experience desired
• Ability to work autonomously and manage projects
