Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, Technical Infrastructure

The role is for a full-time Senior Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer in the Consumer Electronics department at Google. The engineer will provide manufacturing support and guidance for packaging and electro-mechanical products.

• Conduct design for manufacturability/assembly and design for cost analyses for various types of parts and assemblies.
• Identify and qualify contract manufacturers/vendors for different manufacturing processes.
• Provide mechanical manufacturing engineering support to global partners and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Drive process improvements to reduce cycle times/cost while maintaining quality.
• Utilize the product data management system for creating and maintaining bills of materials and engineering change notifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Technology.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience in metal stamping, tool design, and construction.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly and product data management systems.
• Strong communication skills.
