Responsibilities
- Research and design advanced pointing and stabilization systems for spacecraft and payloads.
- Design and develop test beds and related facilities to demonstrate system performance.
- Manage program schedules and financial planning/tracking.
- Conduct analysis of payload mechanical and thermal interfaces.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary environment to support multiple programs and efforts.
- Utilize SolidWorks and/or CREO 3D parametric tools for design.
- Apply knowledge of mechanisms, shock, stress, vibrations, and GD&T.
Job Requirements
- Experience with design and test of space or airborne payload systems.
- Strong understanding of rigid and flexible body dynamics.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of precision mechanism system design and analysis.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and with subcontractors.
- Familiarity with passive and active vibration isolation systems.
- Experience with additive manufacturing and optical mounts.
