The Wellness Pet Company is seeking a Packaging Engineer to work on packaging materials from concept to launch, focusing on sustainability and supporting trials/qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects and maintain deadlines
- Support new product launches and sustainability initiatives
- Develop standards around specifications and introduce innovation
- Ensure on-time execution of packaging activities for projects
- Support supplier transitions and manage packaging information inputs
- Work with manufacturing plants and 3rd party manufacturers
- Create protocols/success criteria for trials and first production runs
Job Requirements
- Degree in Package Engineering, Packaging Science or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a packaging role
- Experience in FMCG packaging, preferably in pet food
- Expertise in packaging development, sustainability, and pricing models
- Knowledge of Cape and TOPS software, package testing methodology, and database management
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
