Hardware Electrical Engineer, Watch

The role is for a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Consumer Electronics department at Google, specifically focusing on system electrical engineering design for Pixel watches.

• Evaluate and select components and new technologies for next-generation products.
• Design, develop, and review systems and sub-components from concept to mass production.
• Create system specifications, lead validation of designs, and perform detailed development to bring designs to mass production.
• Drive resolution of cross-functional issues related to architecture, production, and development.
• Work with suppliers/manufacturing partners to establish relationships for future product designs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in consumer electronics industry and embedded system design.
• Experience with lab equipment and circuit board level design engineering.
• Experience in prototype bring-up, debugging, and manufacturing support.
• Knowledge of chipset, memory, high-speed interface, power supplies, and PCB technologies.
• Experience with system development, SOC/MCU, power management, and sensor integration.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and product development for mass-volume production design.
