The Orange County Sanitation District is seeking an Engineer (Electrical) to work on complex engineering duties involving the construction and/or rehabilitation of wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems Pump Stations.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of complex engineering duties
- Serve as the Resident Engineer for major Capital Improvement Projects
- Provide technical information to project team members
- Answer and process Requests for Information and Requests for Change
- Coordinate construction submittal and shop drawing review comments
- Lead progress and special meetings with contractors
- Evaluate and process contractors' Progress Payments
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 4 years of professional engineering work experience
- Valid professional engineering (P.E.) registration license from California
- Experience with electrical equipment such as 12Kv switchgear, motor control centers, etc.
- Ability to work closely with contractors and public agency staff
- Professional membership in CMAA or ASCE
- Proficiency in Microsoft software and construction management software
