Electrical Engineer, E-2 Development

Vast is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on creating the world's highest performing engine for small launchers in their aerospace department.

• Responsible for E-2 test stand and development engine electronics
• Procure, calibrate, install, and troubleshoot instrumentation for E-2 test stand and engine
• Design circuit boards and electronics for various test stand and engine needs
• Integrate throttle motors with circuit boards and control system on engine
• Create electronics schematics and models/drawings of parts and assemblies
• Conduct tests of propulsion components and the full engine at NASA Stennis Space Center
• Communicate effectively with the team to provide updates on progress and issues

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience with electronics design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test (internships included)
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to achieve ambitious goals
• Hands-on engineering experience
• Proficiency in electronics, circuit boards, and CAD
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel, lift 25 lbs unassisted, and work in outdoor environments with extreme weather conditions
