Manufacturing Engineer

The role is for a Manufacturing Engineer at Flex in Austin, TX, reporting to the Automation Manager.

• Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies, and techniques.
• Design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
• Define equipment maintenance requirements and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Work on problem-solving and continuous improvement with engineering stakeholders.
• Participate in control plan development and update work instructions and other documents.
• Coordinate with customers to identify product specifications and design changes.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
• 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in automated manufacturing.
• Experience with presenting to external customers and tracking KPIs.
• Experience with validation, optimization, and continuous improvement projects.
• Familiarity with Mikron automated equipment preferred.
