Mechanical Engineer Co-op

Found Energy is seeking R&D interns/co-ops to assist in designing, fabricating, and testing subcomponents of their energy delivery system.

• Design, build, and test subsystems using CAD, machine shop, and lab
• Ensure integration of subsystems in prototypes
• Develop in-house machining capabilities
• Create process flow diagrams and simulations
• Participate in design reviews and safety system development
• Translate R&D work into production requirements
• Support testing of prototypes and experiments

• Motivated by climate crisis
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience in mechanical design, CAD, simulations, and electrical systems
• Familiarity with fluid handling, software languages, and thermodynamics
