Mechanical Engineer (Dragon)

The role is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX working on the Dragon spacecraft.

• Own the design and development of mechanical spacecraft systems
• Perform analysis on designs using various methods
• Lead design reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage project delivery timeline from design to production
• Ensure technical excellence and accountability for work

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics
• 1+ years of CAD and FEA software experience
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in designing mechanical components or systems
• Leadership experience on an engineering or project team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make data-driven decisions
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel to remote sites
