Packaging Engineer I

The Packaging Engineer will support innovation, sustainability, and productivity projects on cross-functional teams, focusing on developing packaging for food products.

• Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
• Research and develop new packaging materials and assemblies
• Aid in delivering food packaging reform productivity goals
• Maintain packaging specifications and conduct trials
• Establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Develop new technical concepts for packaging solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering science
• 0-2+ years’ experience in packaging engineering, preferably in food or beverage industry
• Knowledge in packaging categories like corrugate, paperboard, films, rigid plastics, and roll-formed plastics
• Understanding of cold chain distribution systems
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
