Mechanical Engineer

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer at Flex in Milpitas, CA, focusing on evaluating materials and developing machinery and processes for manufacturing products meeting specialized design and performance specifications in the Consumer Electronics department.

• Evaluate materials and develop machinery and processes for manufacturing.
• Conduct tests on materials and finished products to ensure quality.
• Design and direct testing and control of manufacturing procedures.
• Monitor material performance and assess material deterioration.
• Review new product plans and make recommendations for materials.
• Conduct training sessions on new material products and applications.
• Supervise the work of technologists, technicians, and other engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in Mechanical planning and testing.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification (preferred).
• Strong understanding of electronic assembly, materials, and processes standards.
• Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts and operations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
