Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)

The role is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in R&D at Insulet, focusing on designing and developing next-generation wearable insulin delivery technologies.

• Generate next-generation insulin delivery technologies
• Design device subsystems and support system integration
• Analyze design solutions and mitigate associated risks
• Prototype and test subsystems
• Work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
• Conduct competitor technology tear-down studies
• Mentor other engineering team members

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, Master's preferred
• 3+ years of electromechanical product design experience
• Strong understanding of material science and CAD capabilities
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing/cost and automated assembly
• Experience in high-volume product design and generating novel ideas/IP
