Mechanical Engineering Co-Op (January)

The role is for a rockstar co-op with a hands-on attitude to join Phoenix Tailings, a clean mining and metals production startup, working cross-functionally with the engineering team on various projects related to mechanical systems and components.

• Work closely with the engineering team on mechanical projects.
• Use CAD software to create and modify mechanical designs.
• Utilize rapid prototyping tools for design iteration and manufacturing support.
• Participate in testing, data collection, and analysis activities.
• Maintain accurate project records and collaborate with team members.
• Contribute to troubleshooting efforts and adhere to safety protocols.
• Prepare and deliver project updates to supervisors and team members.

• Enrollment in Mechanical Engineering degree program.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software and strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems or prototypes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and laboratory procedures.
