Digital Design Engineer

Lightmatter is seeking a Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer to lead ASIC development for their next-generation artificial intelligence computing architecture utilizing photonic technology.

• Implement RTL design for advanced ML/AI accelerator ASICs/SoCs
• Integrate silicon photonic compute technology into digital accelerator design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve high-performance, low-power designs
• Manage RTL implementation and mitigate risks to meet project schedules
• Generate documentation for modules and work closely with software teams
• Perform RTL design audits

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Experience in ASIC design tape-outs and high-speed digital design techniques
• Knowledge of communication protocols and power-efficient digital design
• Strong communication skills and successful collaboration experience
• Creative thinker with problem-solving skills and knowledge of machine learning algorithms
