Electrical Engineering Intern

The position is an internship opportunity at Xcel Energy in Denver, CO, supporting the Transmission Planning & Strategy team.

• Support technical analysis of the transmission network
• Evaluate and develop guidance for alternative transmission technologies
• Understand economic and business decision-making for project selection

• Enrolled in an ABET accredited bachelor's engineering program or technical mathematics/science program
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Understanding of business and economic decision making
• The role involves supporting the technical analysis of the transmission network, evaluating alternative transmission technologies, and understanding economic and business decision-making for project selection. The intern will work part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer, gaining exposure to industry standards and regulatory requirements related to transmission planning. Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited bachelor's engineering program or equivalent, have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, and possess knowledge of business and economic decision-making.
