Quality Engineer

The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and activities, focusing on inspecting, testing, and evaluating product precision, accuracy, and reliability.

• Investigate and address customer complaints related to quality.
• Conduct preliminary reviews of DMRs and evaluate in-process rejections.
• Perform drawing control and CCB review activities for new and revised documents.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve quality issues.
• Lead improvement projects and kaizen events to identify opportunities for performance improvements.
• Analyze statistical data for product/process improvement and perform Root Cause Corrective Action.
• Other duties as assigned.

• BS/MS degree with 4-6 years of related QA experience.
• Certifications in Quality Sciences such as Lean, Six Sigma, ISO/AS9100, etc., preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in design phase activities.
• Familiarity with electromechanical systems and mechanical hardware.
• Computer literacy with MS Office software and Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Working knowledge of software applications like MS Word, Excel, Access, etc.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and perform manual activities as needed.
