Manufacturing Engineer (MLB, FL)

The position is within the Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business at DRS, focusing on developing, manufacturing, and supporting infrared and electro-optical solutions for military applications.

• Provide engineering support to Manufacturing operations and Development Engineering.
• Participate in design, fabrication, and evaluation of manufacturing operations.
• Create or modify process plans, assembly instructions, and conduct studies as required.
• Assist in hardware troubleshooting, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
• Participate in various board activities as a key stakeholder.
• Review designs for manufacturability and producibility.
• Support and defend the organization's mission, values, and culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or Creo.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and Drawings concepts.
• Willingness to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Mil Spec hardware, Electronics, and/or Electro-Optical equipment.
• Lean/Six Sigma training is desired.
