Mechanical Product Design Engineer, Google Cloud

The role is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Google's Platforms Team, responsible for designing and evaluating data center systems.

• Own and design entire product design life-cycle.
• Develop and execute designs for complex systems.
• Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs.
• Influence products by providing mechanical and product design engineering expertise.
• Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities.
• Provide engineering knowledge and mentor team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• 1 year of experience designing mechanical components.
• 1 year of experience using computer-aided design tools.
• 6 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and design principles.
• Knowledge of chip/socket/cooling solution stack-ups, structural behavior, and reliability.
• Ability to architect solutions backed by business case analysis.
