Electrical Engineer - Protection

Duquesne Light Company is seeking an Engineer III - Protection to work on projects related to electrical engineering in a culture of inclusion and innovation.

• Create and review protection recommendations and studies.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes and standards.
• Provide technical support for project implementation.
• Proactively suggest upgrades to facilities for improved reliability.
• Stay updated on industry changes and safety practices.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management.
• Lead protection efforts for NERC compliance standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of protection simulation software.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Utility or similar experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer License preferred.
