Mechanical Design Engineer II

CesiumAstro is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to work on developing hardware for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems in a dynamic and cross-functional environment.

• Design mechanical components for Cesium products throughout the development process.
• Conduct mechanical simulations and analyses.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers on electronics packaging design.
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and leadership team.
• Utilize CAD tools for design and analysis.
• Implement thermal management design and analysis.
• Engage in cost analysis to optimize mechanical designs.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of industry experience in electronics packaging design or spacecraft structures.
• Proficiency in CAD tools like Solidworks Simulation.
• Familiarity with CNC manufacturing and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
