Substation Designer - Kiewit Power Engineering

The position is for a Substation Designer in the Drafting & Design department within Kiewit Power Engineering, focusing on substation and transmission line design projects.

• Develop design documents and drawings for Substation or Transmission Line projects.
• Create substation design/construction drawing packages.
• Provide drafting support for various types of substation design files.
• Produce new 3D models, drawings, and update existing design files.
• Train and mentor less-experienced design team members.
• Perform quality control checks and provide feedback.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting/Design or Engineering Technology preferred.
• 0-2 years’ experience in Design and/or Drafting disciplines.
• Basic experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Legally able to work in the United States.
