Mechanical Design Engineer, Thermal HVAC, Semi

Tesla Motors is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on designing the SuperManifold/OctoValve assembly for the Tesla heat pump system within the Vehicle Engineering team.

• Mechanical design and packaging of thermal system components
• Managing suppliers and projects for timely deliverables
• Developing component and system level requirements
• Leading creation of technical design documents
• Executing design verification plans and test methods
• Ensuring vehicles adhere to safety standards
• Supporting vehicle programs through the entire life cycle

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 1+ years of full-time or internship experience
• Strong design and 3D modeling skills
• Passion for electric vehicles and energy efficiency
• Knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
• Experience with automotive thermal systems and high-volume manufacturing processes
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
