Design Engineer III

Humanscale is seeking a Design Engineer III to focus on new product development in the Consumer Electronics department.

• Manage development of multiple products ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met.
• Translate product requirements into specification documents.
• Lead brainstorm sessions and conceptualize solutions.
• Develop prototypes, execute test plans, and evaluate product performance.
• Research new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop 3D models, perform engineering analysis, and check engineering drawings.
• Coordinate product launch activities and refine product development processes.

• Minimum 6 years experience as a design engineer in product development.
• Understanding of mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to work with manufacturers and overseas vendors.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in 3-D modeling software and MS Office.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Physical ability to lift 60 pounds and perform repetitive bending and stretching.
