Biomedical Engineer

The role involves performing failure analysis on explanted medical devices, specifically mechanical left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) such as HeartMate II and HeartMate III.

• Conduct failure analysis on returned biomedical devices.
• Handle and examine products with potential exposure to blood and tissue.
• Write technical reports based on analysis and document events reported by hospitals.
• Collaborate occasionally with R&D, software, and other departments for comprehensive investigations.

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Recent graduates or up to 2 years of experience, including internships or co-ops.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail.
• Experience with technical writing and documentation.
• Familiarity with Epic, a complaint handling system, is preferred.
