Mechanical Systems Design Engineer Remote Hybrid

The role is for a Principal/Staff Mechanical Engineer in the aerospace industry, focusing on designing mechanical systems for tilt rotor aircraft and ensuring high reliability and ease of maintenance.

• Designing mechanical systems for hardware assemblies, conveyances, layouts, and routings
• Creating model-based definitions with 3D annotations for detail, assembly, and installation
• Engineering mechanisms for smooth transitions between vertical and horizontal flight
• Designing systems with high reliability and maintenance ease
• Coordinating with other engineering and manufacturing personnel
• Responding to data/action requests and supporting supplier/teammate design activity
• Collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, and tooling departments

• BS in mechanical engineering
• 8+ years of relevant experience with tilt rotor aircraft
• Knowledge of GD&T basics and proficiency in CATIA v6
• Strong understanding of aerospace design principles and industry standards
• Ability to work within assigned hours, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• US Citizenship required
