Systems Engineer

The role is for a Systems Engineer within the Astra Spacecraft Engine (ASE) Systems Engineering team, focusing on the development and support of ASE Hall Effect Thruster electric propulsion systems.

• Learn and apply systems engineering approaches to ASE systems
• Develop and update system performance and design requirements
• Support Qualification and Product Acceptance testing
• Provide engineering support for on-orbit systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Experience in professional engineering industry or engineering research/R&D role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering or related field desired
• Experience with spacecraft electric propulsion systems preferred
• Knowledge of systems engineering, integration & test
• Familiarity with systems engineering software tools
