Electrical Engineer, Test Automation

The position is for a Senior Engineer with an electrical engineering background in the Manufacturing Test Engineering group at Tesla, focusing on building automated testing equipment for power electronics and battery manufacturing lines.

• Research and specify electrical test equipment
• Design schematics and layout for electrical control panels
• Develop test specifications and execution plans
• Perform bench testing on electrical components
• Implement industrial safety systems
• Debug and optimize automated processes
• Characterize and validate equipment using statistical approaches

• Experience with electrical test equipment
• Proficiency in reading and building schematics
• Exposure to electrical CAD software is a plus
• Degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on engineering experience
