Mechanical Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

IMEG is seeking an Intern - Mechanical Engineering to work on engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry.

• Assist with design portions of a project related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards
• Research resources for commercially available equipment
• Maintain good client relations and provide documentation for permanent record files
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines
• Document design decisions and monitor project design progress
• Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other required services

• Strong interest in design consulting
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
• Clear communication skills
• At least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Prior internship experience in building design consulting industry
• Physical ability to perform required tasks
