Senior Propulsion Engineer

The position is for a Propulsion Engineer to support the NASA Launch Service Program at Kennedy Space Center within the Vehicle Engineering and Analysis department.

• Provide insight into launch vehicle propulsion systems throughout the product lifecycle
• Lead technical assessments of component or system design changes
• Act as the primary liaison between NASA customer and launch vehicle provider
• Perform post-flight data reviews and issue resolution
• Support certification for new launch service providers/vehicles
• Support process improvement activities
• Travel occasionally as required

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 15 years of experience with launch vehicle propulsion systems
• Knowledge of space launch vehicle propulsion systems
• U.S. Citizenship and successful government background check
• Knowledge of commercial launch vehicle providers
• Experience with liquid engine systems
• Demonstrated leadership accomplishments
