The Equipment Design Engineer I is responsible for developing new HVACR equipment for Smart Family of Cooling Products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering calculations for various aspects of HVACR equipment design.
- Design new HVACR equipment and create 3D models using SOLIDWORKS.
- Generate electrical and piping schematics in AutoCAD.
- Select components, complete cost analyses, and review performance balances for new equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot new designs for functionality and quality assurance.
- Interface with manufacturing department for engineering support during the build process.
- Write programs for control systems such as PLCs and VFDs.
Job Requirements
- Advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
- Ability to conduct engineering calculations for HVACR equipment.
- Familiarity with control systems like PLCs and VFDs.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
