Mechanical Design Engineer, Chassis, Semi

Tesla is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Chassis Design Engineering team, responsible for advancing chassis technology and development in Tesla products.

• Develop system architecture for pneumatic systems, air generation, and air brake systems
• Tune pneumatic system response and fault detection methods
• Optimize suspension design and kinematics
• Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility
• Complete and release component designs and documentation
• Resolve issues with cross-functional teams
• Participate in sourcing process and manage supplier relationships

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, CATIA is a plus
• Basic knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with component design, analysis, and validation
• Strong technical and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter with project completion evidence
• Prior experience in relevant engineering field valued
