Internship, Power Electronics, Energy Engineering (Winter/Spring 2025)

The position is an internship opportunity at Tesla for students pursuing degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

• Design and manufacture power electronics hardware for automotive and energy storage products
• Design cutting-edge power converters and high-voltage safety devices
• Analyze and test structural, thermal, environmental, and insulating aspects of converter components
• Design custom magnetic components such as inductors and transformers
• Own the design process from conception to mass-production

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency with basic EE tools and 3D mechanical design and analysis tools
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, magnetics, and capacitors
• Experience designing packaging for electronic assemblies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
